Spring Apparel Fundraiser! March 21st through April 4th!

Howdy!

Spring Events!!! Mark your calendars!!

Howdy!!!

The spring semester is off to a good start! The first meeting was held on February 15th and we talked about several upcoming events and speakers! 

 

First up: Coffee Break - This Friday (February 24th) in the Faculty Lounge. Take a break and come visit with your fellow faculty, staff, and graduate students within the Department of Animal Science! Graduate students are encouraged to bring a breakfast item (bought or homemade) to help out.

 

Also, keep in mind our next general meeting is March 7th at 5:15 PM in the Faculty Lounge! Other dates to keep in mind:

* March 30th & April 27th - Coffee Breaks

* April 11th - ASGSA meeting

* May 26th - 3rd Annual ASGSA Crawfish Boil

* June 7th - 2nd Annual Brazos Valley Bombers Picnic Social

A&M vs Nebraska Football & Tailgate!!

12 th MAN DAY FOR NEBRASKA FOOTBALL GAME
College Station, Texas—The 12 th Man, the nationally famous student body at Texas A&M, looks to set another record with the largest student crowd in the history of collegiate football against #8-ranked Nebraska when the Cornhuskers come to Kyle Field on Nov. 20. Some 27,152 Aggie students have the football or all-sports option to pull tickets for the game. Director of Athletics Bill Byrne has announced that any Aggie student who does not have an all-sports or football option may purchase a $20 ticket to the Cornhusker game by showing their ID.The tickets would be located in the upper corners of the third deck and in the upper levels of the north end zone. These tickets go on sale beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday. They are available at the 12 th Man athletic ticket center inside the Zone at Kyle Field and temporary sales trailers which will be located near Sbisa Dining Hall on the north side of campus as well as the bus stop near Wehner on west campus.

Coffee Break will be held this Friday, November 5th in Kleberg Faculty Lounge (KLCT 126) from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM for all faculty, staff, and graduate students in the Department of Animal Science. Graduate students are asked to bring a breakfast item and beverages will be provided by ASGSA. ASGSA Tailgate (A&M vs. OU) 

ASGSA will be hosting another tailgate to BTHO OU this weekend!! Come join us on November 6th at the TAMU Horse Center about 5 PM! Donations to help with food costs are greatly appreciated! We will also be selling out TAMU ASGSA cups for $2.00!! Food will be served prior to kick-off. Free parking and walking distance to Kyle Field! ASGSA Tailgate - A&M vs Texas Tech!

Howdy!

ASGSA is hosting a tailgate for the A&M vs Texas Tech home game on October 30th!! The event will be held at the Horse Center prior to kickoff, where free parking for the football game is available!!! ASGSA would appreciate any volunteers to bring food items or to help with setup. Fall Bowling Social! - October 21st

Howdy!

ASGSA is hosting a bowling night for animal science graduate students this upcoming Thursday, October 21st at Grand Station Entertainment! Specials on bowling for Thursdays are Thursday Night Owl which occurs from 9:30 PM - midnight and allows unlimited bowling and free shoe rental for $11.99 per person. ASGSA will pay for half of each person's entry fee, so come join us for a night of unlimited bowling for only $6.00!!

Please RSVP to Lauren Hulsman (lhulsman@tamu.edu) by October 20th if you are going to join us!! Bowling will start at 9:30 PM, but please arrive a few minutes early to pay and get your shoes! Please either have $6.00 cash or make the check payable to ASGSA when you arrive. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Lauren!
